Friendship is indispensable to people's life. A man without friends is an angel without wings, whose life will suffer in the long tolerance of loneliness and depression. Friendship is the mother of our psyche, who'll warm her kid when hurt occurs. We have much to share with our friends in life, perplexity, excitement, bitterness etc. Alas, it's magnificent to maintain a genuine friendship.

It takes many special qualities to make a friend. Understanding should come first. Only when we get a better understanding of each other can we gain an authentic and meaningful friendship. We may find our hobbies of common interests. This feeling of affinity gets us closer and closer.

It also takes a special kind of love that seems to know no end. Never hesitate to show your heartfelt care and kindness to your friend when he/she is in trouble. Love is not selfish. Love is endowed by God that we should treasure all our life.

Tolerance is the third essential part in friendship. We are absolutely different persons. This individual distinction may cause conflict between us in every aspect of our life. Don't immerse ourself in this infliction too long. Try to tolerant his/her in an introspective mood. Saints are not perfect, let alone those ordinary people like us. Afterwards, we should get a good communication. Never shy to confess.

Understanding, love and tolerance are the first three essences that comes to an authentic friendship. Other qualities are also concerned such as thoughtfulness, trust and patience. Remember, friendship is your psyche's guard, treasure it






What Is Friendship?

Friendships are relaxed, loyal relationships that involve intimacy, communication, and empathy. Friendship is a relief. Friends relate.

It is an in-depth relationship combining trust, support, communication, loyalty, understanding, empathy, and intimacy.

These are certainly aspects of life that all of us crave.

Being able to trust and relax with your friend is a big part of friendship.

Remember when you were young and went with a friend to her grandma's for the week-end. It was fun but when you got home, home was wonderful. Your feeling was "I'm home. I can relax now."

That's what a friendship should be.

You go out into the world and do your best. You have your ups and downs, your problems and triumphs, your fun and tribulations. You charm and you perform.

Then you come "home" to a friend. You can relax, put up your feet; you are relieved. If you still have to be charming and/or performing, it's not a relief.

Friendship is a comfy situation like home. You get home, kick off your shoes, relax and sigh, "Ahh, home."




A lot of people go through life with only a few friends. It seems that some have less than that. They have no one on whom they can call in good times or bad. There is no one with whom to bounce ideas around, or to talk about deep and troubling subjects. They have no one to call in times of need or difficulty. They are at the mercy of life, standing alone.

Others seem to have a multitude of friends. Wherever they go, people know them, and like to be around them. Should trouble strike, their biggest hesitation might be over which friend to call. They know exactly the person with whom to discuss the topics of inquiry and debate. Life is full of entertaining and invigorating relationships because it is full of friends.

There ought to be a course in school on friendship. Of course, some people are perfectly happy to operate with fewer friends. They might rather have a few deep and loyal friends, than many superficial ones. Others thrive best when friends are everywhere and numerous. It is not so much the number of friends that is important as is the possession of friends, period.

Friendship is a blessing...
Friendship is a blessing, and a friend is the channel through whom great emotional, spiritual, and sometimes even physical blessings flow. Friends can cheer us when we’re sorrowful or depressed. Friends can challenge us when we allow ourselves to get beyond our reasonable boundaries. Friends can motivate us when we’re ready to give in, and they can provide for us when life falls apart. They are there when all is well, and we want someone with whom to share life’s pleasant and memorable moments. We often just want them around to have a good time, to laugh, to act silly, to enjoy some mutually liked activity. In how many ways have friends enriched our lives and made us feel loved, accepted, respected and cared for? Probably, too many to list, and the list grows daily.

It is safe to say that when God created the world and all the majestic things in it, when he streaked the heavens with radiant color and the earth with grand mountains and awe-inspiring canyons, when he painted the plains with waving grasses and erected noble forests of towering trees, he outdid it all by creating friends. Why not take a moment or two and thank someone today for being a friend to you?

The Olympic Road of ZhangYining
My favorite athlete is ZhangYining. She is a table tennis player. She was born in Beijing on 5th ,1982.When she was only 5 years old ,she began to play table tennis .Although she was a little girl at that time ,she told her coach, “I want to be the king of the ping pong ball .”She liked playing table tennis very much .She had a big heart to success early in her childhood .By the age of 14,she entered the National Team of table tennis .She met two important people in her life ,Wang Nan and Li Sun .Both of them played an important part in her road to success. Wang Nan was her roommate from 1996 to 2000.She had won so many prizes in the world .Little by little ,she gave ZhangYining so much influence .Li Sun was the coach of ZhangYining from 1996 to now .He gave her the great number of help when she was in trouble .Li Sun said ,“The only thing that can make her happy is to win the gold medal in the Olympic Games .”How ambitious she is !It made her dream come true more quickly.
I will introduce you her Olympic Road in the following paragraphs.
In 2000, she had already been the main player of the team .But unfortunately she lost a competition to promotion the Olympic Game. It was almost impossible. All of her fans, media and also herself couldn’t bear it. At that time, she was too sad to train as usual .Everybody knew, at that time ,she had been the No.1of the world .When her roommate Wang Nan won the gold medal she could only be the watcher of the Olympic Game in front of TV. She was very sad for a long time. Her coach helped her .In 2001, she came out of the dark and won two gold medals in a competition.
Three years later, it was 2004 .In Athens Olympic Games she won both the single and the double .She won two gold medals .It not only made her dream came tune, but also won a continue of glory of Chinese table tennis .When she won the woman single table tennis .She was smiling, it was very sweet and sincere After that, she really took the place of Wang Nan and became the super woman of table tennis.
This year in Beijing, her hometown, she won two gold medals again. As the same as four years ago ,she smiled again .She kissed all the people all over the world who likes her very much .I really think it was a reward of all the fans of her .I was very happy too. Aug 22nd was a fine day, it made her dream came true again. And there was a smile named ZhangYining.
I like ZhangYining best not only for she is the winner of the competitions, but also for her personality. She has a real heart. She has a dream and in order to makes it come true .She never gives up. Although she has met so many difficulties over the 8 years, she was always strong minded and faced them actively. Playing table tennis takes her a plenty of time to practice .It almost the whole of her life in past 15 years. Now four gold medals of the Olympic Games return to her .These are her harvest.
I am her supporter forever .When I am very tired of studying, once I think about her I will be full of energy immediately.
