谁能知道什么英汉词典好，适合教学，对词条的解释全而且比较与时俱进。
第一个问题：
我眼中的英语词典
对于英英/英汉/汉英词典，我虽没有专门的研究，却也接触过不少。这其中既有纸质词典，也有电子词典，还有电脑上的词典软件。这里不讲求什么逻辑了，想到哪儿就写到哪儿吧。
据说英语中的词汇有55万之多，但像咱们一般的本科毕业生掌握的英语词汇也就是这其中的1%而已。对于一般的英语学习者和使用者而言，像朗文（Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English）这样的Learner's Dictionary已经足够，贪多求全没有必要。当然，若你是从事专业翻译的人士则另当别论。在Learner's Dictionary当中，朗文和牛津无疑是名气最大的两部词典。这两部词典的英英释义用词简单准确，可谓一大特色。许多学习者常为英语单词的汉译所误导，而要正本清源则不能不参考其英英释义。现如今，国内市面上的朗文已出至第四版，而牛津（Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary）则已至第六版。Palm上的朗文比较与时俱进，而Zdic中的牛津第四版与纸质词典相比 纰漏颇多，甚为遗憾。麦克米伦也已登录大陆市场。这部词典条目清晰、释义准确，也算得上是一部好词典，只不过名气不如前两者罢了。上外外教社出版的《剑桥国际英语词典》很厚，但字体也是很大，内容也不错。 但这样一部“巨型板砖”，不论是体积还是价格都足以让一般的使用者望而生畏。《韦氏词典》也有相当有名Learner's Dictionary，但我用起来却很是不适应，大概是不习惯之故吧。
陆谷孙主编的《英汉大词典》可谓英汉词典中的巨型航母，许多别处难寻的词汇皆可在此中找到答案。对于一名职业译员而言，这是一部不可或缺的工具书。很长一段时间里，这部词典称霸江湖、孤独求败，直到有一天《21世纪大英汉词典》的出现才结束了这种局面。我曾就这两部词典的一些解释进行了对比，发现后者并不输于前者。只不过由于前者成名已久，江湖人士一般以前者为强。此外，《建宏英汉多功能词典》也是很有特色的一部词典，适合于各位learners之使用。至于其它英汉词典，此处不再详述。
与市面上浩如烟海的英英/英汉词典相比，汉英词典就少得多，这其中当首推吴光华先生编的《汉英大辞典》，里面众多词汇足可以让人眼花缭乱。外研社主编的《汉英大词典》也有一定的市场，也可供中高级英语学习者使用。除此之外，另外一部词典却颇为特殊，那就是商务印书馆的《现代汉语词典》双语版。这部词典遵循了从字到词到句的原有条例，翻译也很是老道，对外国人学汉语应是非常好的一部 Learner's Dictionary。
电子词典我用过名人、文曲星和快译通。需要指出的是，我上文中列举的词典都是完整版的词典，而很多词典都有精简版。很多电子词典内置的往往都是这些词典的精简版，宣传时却声称什么“殿堂级”大词典。 就这三种电子词典而言，我感觉词典做的最好的是名人，而单词记忆功能做的最好的是文曲星。当然，即使是同一品牌，其内置词典、功能也会有所不同，我只是就我使用过的几部电子词典总体感觉而言的。这其中还要提一提卡西欧的电子词典。卡西欧的电子词典完整内置了吴光华的《汉英大辞典》以及朗文词典、牛津等权威词典，但价格也高得惊人。
对于电脑上的词典软件，很多人会首推金山词霸，而我认为这是一套很烂的词典软件。金山词霸号称收录了众多专业词典，我却感觉是有名无实：里面释义错误不少，而有些基本的单词或单词的基本释义却查不到。久负盛名的朗文也有词典软件，是第四版的英英词典，其中的英式/美式的真人发音非常地道，这要比金山词霸里面多数单词依靠数码合成发音好得多。倘若你要做理工农医类的的专业翻译，用什么词典软件好呢？自然是新世纪汉英科技大词典。由于此词典是专业翻译词典，专业领域之外的词汇可能收录不多，但专业领域之内的词汇翻译却甚为“专业”，可惜的是词典已久未更新。灵格斯词霸是个免费的小词典，收录有朗文、牛津、朗道等经典词典，而且有多语种可供选择，颇具特色，不过一有新版本老版本就失效，这让人很是恼火。终于有一天，我弃它而去，因为我有了一个更好的词典——星际译王！敢称自己为王的词典是要有些勇气和底气的，事实证明，星际译王配得上这样的称呼。星际译王的最大特色是将金山词霸在内的上面所提到的所有词典软件的词典库收录其中（可根据自己需要下载）。不过目前星际译王还有些问题，比如界面简陋、安装稍显麻烦等。另外，如果有找不到的专业词汇，可以到http://dict.cnki.net/这个网站看看，这儿可是CNKI做的在线词典啊。
市场上面的英英/英汉/汉英词典还有不少，我这里谈得只是其中的一部分——我所接触的那一部分——而已。随着时代的发展，估计越来越多的词典会电子化，也许在不久的将来，很少会有人像我们当年那样搬着本词典到处跑了。

再配上价值上千的中国大百科全书，虽然是中文的，但是绝对比文曲星、好易通内置的剑桥、大英百科全书要全面得多！看看厚度就知道了！有图片、图表，这个是别的机型不能相比的！用英汉词典翻译成中文，如果不知道中文的具体意思，再跳查百科，超强组合！
