如果你时间有限，没有整块的大段时间，读英文报是一个好办法。根据你的水平选择报纸、文章，21世纪报、初中报。不要勉强自己读很难的文章，没有效果。
报纸贴近中国的生活、学习，对提高阅读能力比较直接有用。
关于英语的比较系统的学习指导书我觉得《疯狂英语》对于初学者建立起比较正确的外语学习方法有比较大的助力。短语方面推荐一本叫做《豆熟》的书，由日本的赤尾好夫编，绵惯阳审订，里面对各种短语有比较详尽的分类，给的例句有很多都属于白金级别的“经典例句”十分值得一看。至于练习册方面大学生的我不太有经验，但高中生的话有一本《世纪金榜》是很不错的。我不知道你的具体情况，以上仅供参考，谢谢！
