英语一和英语二的区别如下。一、考试难度不一样。考研英语一的考试难度大，考研英语二的考试难度相对较小。因为考研英语一是学术学位研究生的考试科目，考研英语二是专业学位研究生的考试科目。前者侧重于学术研究和基础理论研究，更需要较高的英语水平，而后者主要侧重于专业实践研究，对英语的要求较小，因此在难度上，英语一的考试难度要比英语二的考试难大很多。在实际考试中，英语一的词汇量要比英语二更多，而且经常出现超纲的词汇，导致很多人考研败在英语一上面。二、考试内容不一样。考研英语一的翻译题是断句翻译，考研英语二的翻译题是整段翻译；考研英语一的作文一般是应用型短文和漫画作文，考研英语二的作文是应用文和图表文章。正是因为两者所面向的考试群体不一样，因此在题型和考试内容上，英语一和英语二有显著的区别，这也是考研英语一的考试难度大，考研英语二的考试难度相对较小的主要原因。三、适用范围不一样。考研英语一的适用范围大，考研英语二的适用范围小。考研英语一的适用范围包括13个学科大类，100多个具体学科方向的学术学位研究生，而考研英语二的适用范围仅囊括了专业学位研究生可以报考的专业学科方向。学术学位研究生可以报考的专业更多，更全面，而专业学位研究生的可以报考的专业少，也不太全面，因此英语一的适用范围要显著大于英语二的适用范围。
