Many people think that tutoring schools give (provide) the students more chances to communicate with teachers. And the students can make up for what they miss or fail to understand in their regular schools. Many students think that such help is necessary.
Although taking tutoring classes or hiring tutors could help one in many ways, it certainly has its disadvantages. For example, the students may get used to depending on others or help. What's worse, those who study with tutors or those who attend tutoring schools might not pay attention when they go to their regular schools.
In my opinion, tutoring schools are not necessary. As far as I know, a lot of my classmates do attend different kinds of after school programs. I think it is their parents who push them to do that because they think it is to their children's best interest. In my school, most of the teachers don't agree with that, either. Of cause, they never say no. When we finish our work, we should relax and do things we like.
